Diesel fuel quality improvement at a large oil depot.

In 2023, a large oil storage facility in Hubei Province, China, installed a JY-DL60 diesel filtration system as part of its diesel fuel-quality management program — filtering and purifying diesel at the outbound loading (truck loading) stage, verified by the customer's own laboratory analysis.

Direct Answer

In 2023 a large oil storage facility in Hubei Province, China installed a JY-DL60 60 m³/h diesel filtration system on its outbound truck-loading line. Fuel sampling and laboratory analysis were carried out by the customer's own laboratory. Per project records the membrane has not been replaced since 2023 commissioning and was still in normal operation as of August 2026. Numerical before/after values are not published: the original laboratory records were not retained.

Project at a Glance

The Project.

A large oil storage facility in Hubei Province installed a JY-DL60 diesel filtration system to filter and purify diesel as it is dispatched from storage — improving the cleanliness and quality control of outbound diesel at the truck-loading stage. Following installation and operation, the facility carried out fuel sampling and laboratory analysis through its own laboratory, providing a customer-side verification step for the treated fuel.

The project demonstrates how high-flow filtration can be incorporated into an existing oil-depot operation as an additional layer of fuel-quality control.

Project Background

Why an Oil Depot Needs Tank-Level Filtration.

Large oil storage facilities handle diesel in volumes far greater than ordinary vehicle or equipment fueling applications. Even when incoming fuel meets the required product specification, fuel cleanliness can still be affected during storage, transportation, tank transfer, repeated handling, tank aging, sediment accumulation and environmental exposure.

For an oil depot, maintaining fuel quality involves more than checking the fuel when it first enters the facility. The storage and outbound dispatch process itself becomes an important part of overall fuel-quality management.

The Core Idea

Instead of waiting for contamination to become a downstream equipment problem, the facility introduced filtration into the outbound loading (truck loading) process itself.

Customer Requirement

What the Facility Needed.

The facility's objective was to further improve the quality and cleanliness of dispatched diesel through an additional filtration process at the loading stage — approaching filtration at the depot dispatch level rather than relying on downstream protection devices immediately before fuel consumption.

01
Large-Volume Storage
A system suitable for large-volume diesel storage with higher-flow fuel processing.
02
Loading-Stage Filtration
Fuel filtered during outbound loading operations, integrated with the existing dispatch process.
03
Long-Term Industrial Duty
Equipment built for long-term industrial operation as part of ongoing fuel-quality management.
The Jingyuan Solution

High-Flow Loading-Stage Filtration.

Jingyuan supplied the JY-DL60 diesel filtration system — designed for higher-flow diesel filtration and suited to the depot's truck-loading throughput. The system was integrated into the facility's outbound loading line, filtering diesel as it flows from storage tanks into road tankers during dispatch.

Every loading operation passes fuel through the filtration system, making it part of an ongoing fuel-quality management strategy rather than a one-time treatment device.

Why JY-DL60

The Selection Logic.

The application was fundamentally a high-throughput diesel dispatch requirement — so selection needed to consider more than filtration precision alone.

STORAGE
Dispatch Throughput
Loading volume and frequency determine required treatment capacity.
FLOW
Loading Rate
The system must match the loading-arm flow rate of the site's dispatch operations.
FUEL
Fuel & Contamination
Fuel condition and contamination characteristics influence configuration and operating approach.

The JY-DL60 was applied as a high-flow loading-stage filtration system on the outbound dispatch line rather than as a small point-of-use filter. See the JY-DL60 product page for full technical specifications.

Membrane Technology

Regenerable Filtration at Depot Scale.

The JY-DL60 uses Jingyuan's rigid composite polymer membrane filtration technology. Unlike conventional disposable filtration media, the Jingyuan membrane structure is designed for repeated regeneration — particularly relevant to industrial fuel applications where filtration is performed repeatedly over the service life of the system.

The system is intended to provide high-flow fuel filtration, separation of targeted contaminants, reusable filtration media and reduced dependence on continuously replaced disposable elements. The specific filtration configuration and operating parameters are determined according to the actual fuel condition and project requirements.

Field record: as of August 2026, the membrane filter elements in this system have not been replaced since commissioning in 2023 — the system has remained in continuous normal operation for more than three years on the original membrane set, maintained through gas-pulse regeneration.

Customer-Side Verification

Sampling & Laboratory Analysis.

An important part of this project was the use of customer-side laboratory analysis. After installation and operation, fuel samples were collected and analyzed by the oil depot's laboratory as part of its fuel-quality control process.

Fuel Storage → Outbound Loading → JY-DL60 Filtration → Fuel Sampling → Customer Laboratory Analysis

The project was not evaluated solely on the basis of equipment specifications — the treated fuel was also subjected to the customer's own sampling and laboratory evaluation process.

Data Integrity

What We Can Confirm.

The project records confirm that fuel sampling and laboratory analysis were performed by the customer's laboratory after the filtration system was installed and operated. However, the original laboratory photographs and complete numerical test records are not currently available for publication.

For this reason, Jingyuan does not publish specific numerical before-and-after values from this project. This case study focuses on confirmed project facts and application methodology rather than unverified numerical claims.

Data integrity matters. We publish laboratory figures only when the original test record is available for verification — especially important for industrial filtration projects where fuel-quality data may be used for technical evaluation and procurement decisions.
